With 20 years of service to the Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office, Marcus Herbert is a dedicated leader with a proven track record. Starting in 2005 as a Correctional Officer, Marcus advanced to Deputy Sheriff, Sergeant, Bomb Technician, and a respected community figure.

Marcus believes in proactive leadership, transparency, and building community trust. He’s committed to reducing recidivism through job training, expanding mental health support, and ensuring public safety through modern policing and engagement strategies.
